The Grim Reaper

What can we say about Grim. He has been around for millennia guiding the sould of the dead toward the light. That is a miracle of the first order because this southern fried psychopomp is usually so sloshed he can barely find the door! The only thing that Grim loves as much as cheap hooch is "b" movie horror and of course great rock and roll!

Ravennia

A vixen of a witch who adores the color purple, flirting with men (dead or alive), hexing those who bother her and making potions. She's a good time girl, but her main squeeze is always, always Dead john! She just adores her johnny! Her familiar is a black cat named Tituba, and you will often see Ravennia petting her and dressing her in the latest fashions, her catchphrase is "feathers and kisses!" and that really explains it all.

Dead John

That's okay Dead john's un-life is more exciting than most folks lives! Dead John moves with grace and ease but no one ever sees how. He provides security services for the other members of the crew fighting off would be assassins and supernatural villains that seek to harm the denizens of the crypt1

The Dead Air Radio Crypt

DARC IMAGE.jpg

Tune the dial past the static, past the sign-off hour, into the frequency where the needle never quite lifts. The Dead Air Radio Crypt is a weekly descent into the crackling marriage of Rockabilly, Punk Rock, and Psychobilly — raw, riotous, and unrepentant — spliced together with ghost-signal transmissions from the golden age of radio horror. Think greaser ghouls and switchblade specters: the kind of show that plays like a drive-in double feature broadcast from beyond the graveyard gate.

Hosted by the Cast of Tennessee Macabre, every episode is part mixtape, part séance — spinning wax that snarls and stomps while old-time horror dramas hiss up through the dead air between tracks. It's equal parts sock hop and wake.

Catch the transmission:

  • Saturdays, 10 PM CST / 11 PM EST — live on Weirdsistersradio.com

  • Shortwave Gold — Saturdays at 17:00 UTC on 3975 MHz & 6160 MHz, and Sundays at 14:00 UTC on 6160 MHz

  • Missed a broadcast? The Crypt never fully closes — dig through the archive on MixCloud [link] anytime the coffin lid creaks open.

Turn out the lights. Turn up the volume. The dead air is calling.
